Join us on Friday, June 5 at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center for a unique opportunity to learn how to use LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs, and other social media to listen to customers, build relationships, make business and social connections, and gain valuable marketing exposure.

This special event features breakout sessions for beginning, intermediate, and advanced participants. Those with little or no experience will have as much to gain as those who are skilled users!

Keynote: Mario Armstrong

Radio & TV technology talk show host, heard and seen on NPR, XM/Sirius, WBAL-TV, AOL.com & more

 

Mario Armstrong is a radio, TV, and online personality, motivational speaker, public servant, and social entrepreneur. He translates technology for non-tech audiences and teaches people to leverage technology to enhance their personal and professional lives. In addition to his popular media segments, Mario has also served as Chief Technology Officer for the City of Baltimore and IT director for the State of Maryland's Tourism Department.

Breakout Sessions

Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced users will break into smaller groups for special sessions on Time Management & Finding Your Audience, HR & Administrative issues, Etiquette & Monitoring, and Strategic Marketing.

These sessions will be led by some of the brightest social media minds in the Frederick, Baltimore, and Washington areas:

Panel Discussion

The day wraps up with a panel discussion, featuring local organizations that are already effectively using social media to promote and improve their business:

Those who register will also receive email confirmation and a pre-conference workbook. The PDF workbook will include instructions for signing up for major social media networks, a glossary of commonly used terms, and other essential information.

$125 for Chamber members, $195 for non-members. Includes lunch, keynote presentation, four breakout sessions, and a panel discussion with local organizations who are already effectively using social media to promote and improve their business.
