This year's annual event will also give special recognition to the past year's Chamber Volunteers, and features two keynote speakers, and we'll meet the new FCC President. The event takes place at Frederick Community College's Cougar Grille (building H).

The United Way of Frederick County was founded in 1938 by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce when 18 Frederick civic leaders met to organize the first combined fund drive for five local nonprofit organizations. The organization was initially named the Community Chest. 74 years later the UWFC continues to be a local, volunteer-managed organization that establishes and prioritizes community human service needs and develops strategic partnerships to invest resources in the areas of Education, Income and Health. Josh will speak about volunteering and how corporate philanthropy/volunteering is great for business.
