Q: Is the Chamber part of ______________ (city government, county government, tourism, economic development, Better Business Bureau)?

A: No. The Chamber is an independent 501(c)(6) organization representing more than 800 member businesses.

Q: What types of business join the Chamber?

A: Our Chamber is comprised of 800+ member organizations, including individual professionals, small businesses, and large companies with locations in Frederick County or the surrounding areas. In fact, almost 80% of our members have fewer than 20 employees. Our membership also includes not-for-profit organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies.

Q: Why do businesses join the Chamber?

A: The most typical reasons members give for joining and renewing their membership are networking and referrals. We present over 80 events each year, where members are able to meet and build relationships with 800+ member organizations. We also provide opportunities for leadership development, training & education, advocacy, and community involvement.
