Education & Training

The Chamber provides opportunities for affordable corporate and professional training through the Chamber Academy program – Interactive workshops on leadership, sales, marketing, human resources, and other topics. Participants take new ideas back to the office, and are also eligible to receive continuing education credits from Frederick Community College.

Every other month, the Chamber invites community leaders to speak at our Business Outlook Seminar Series, where local professionals are briefed on how community issues impact our local economy. Past topics have included arts & entertainment districts, agriculture, tourism, eco-friendly business trends, MD School for the Deaf, Fort Detrick, the City of Frederick, and Frederick County government.

Last year, members let us know that they wanted more opportunities to discuss issues with one another. New in 2009, we’re presenting a series of Brown Bag Lunch Discussions. These are open forum discussions, moderated by Chamber board members. This is a great way to share your challenges, goals, and ideas with fellow members. Topics have included social media, internships & externships, and healthcare options for businesses.
