Business Insurance Program
Penn National Insurance recently declared over $300,000 in dividends for the Chamber's business insurance program. Based on the 2006-2007 program year, the group earned a 15% dividend, and checks totaling $322,702 were returned to participating Chamber members in November 2008.
Over the last 10 years, the program has returned more than $1.5 million to policyholders. Dividend payments are not guaranteed, but in this program, past returns have ranged from 5 to 17 percent. The Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce also participates in this program.
The program offers Chamber members special coverage and pricing on property and casualty insurance, including business owners, commercial auto, commercial fire and crime, general liability, inland marine and workers’ compensation. In addition, through safety consulting, Penn National Insurance and local independent insurance agencies encourage member businesses to develop safety practices to substantially reduce or eliminate workplace injuries.
Interested in signing up? The program is offered exclusively through independent Chamber member agencies, including Wright-Gardner Insurance, BB&T Frederick Underwriters, Connie Phillips Insurance, Georgetown Insurance Services, Insurance Brokers of Md., Keller-Stonebraker, Klinger & Associates, Inc. and V. W. Brown Insurance. To find out more, contact these chamber-member agencies through the business directory on this web site, or visit Penn National Insurance to find an independent agency near you.
