At the heart, a Chamber of Commerce is a group of passionate business leaders who come together to work on and solve common issues. These leaders, their companies, and their employees are called members. Our Chamber of Commerce has a full time staff devoted to helping Frederick County businesses grow and support their organizations. Together we promote community projects, advocate for strong economic development, and work to be a more prosperous community.

Remember, membership starts with "me", and how you use your membership will impact your results. Many active members enjoy a great return on investment by using the savings programs, promotional opportunities, networking, and education events.
I'm short on time, should I still join?
Absolutely! Your membership is more than events and face-to-face opportunities. By joining the Chamber, you are gaining an instant network of support and resources. You are automatically united with local businesses in advocacy, gaining access to promotional opportunities, representing your industry, collaborating on initiatives at your leisure, and demonstrating you support a strong business community to your clients and customers.
And, remember that everyone who works at your organization becomes a member when you join. This means anyone can use Chamber services, attend events, and participate in savings programs. This is a great employee benefit to offer everyone at your company!
How much is Chamber membership?
Membership investments are calculated based on several factors including the number of full-time employees working within 25 miles of Frederick County. For an estimate, please contact one of our membership representatives.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes! After the first year we can help you make membership fit your budget by setting up semi-annual or quarterly payments. Just give us a call 301.662.4164 or let your membership representative know.
Is the Chamber a government or political organization?
Our Chamber is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that is independently operated and funded. We are not part of the city or county government. We believe in connecting members to local, state, and federal elected officials and providing information. We typically do not endorse political candidates.
Are you part of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce?
We are also not affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
How do you decide what initiatives to support?
Advocacy and governmental affairs initiatives are set and driven by members to improve economic development and quality of life in Frederick County. We have a public policy committee and a major employers group that bring issues and suggestions.
