Frederick County Chamber of Commerce : Leadership Frederick County : Qualifications & Selection

Anyone who lives or works in Frederick County may apply. Leadership Frederick County targets individuals who have leadership experience in community roles, who possess various career, educational, political, and cultural backgrounds, and who have a desire to explore local issues and leadership strategies in preparation for future civic involvement.

While participants have varied backgrounds, all share three basic characteristics:

A demonstrated personal commitment to community service and to addressing community problems;
A record of achievement in professional and community involvement, indicating past and potential leadership ability;
The ability to set and achieve personal goals.

In addition to a completed application form, all applicants go through an application interview. All applicants will be notified of their status over the summer, and a public announcement will be made in September.
