By investing in the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, you are also investing in the future of your business as well as that of Frederick County. A solidly financed Chamber will allow for growth in meaningful member services that will have a profound impact on businesses today and in the future.
In 2004, the Board of Directors made a conscious decision to dramatically and definitively change the course of the Chamber. While proving proficient in providing quality professional development and networking programs, the Chamber’s community development activities were almost non-existent. The Frederick County Chamber is moving into the public policy forum. Since then the Chamber has stepped up efforts to become the voice of business in Frederick County.
The Trustee Program is designed specifically to give participating Members maximum recognition and participation in Chamber programs. Our Trustee support over the past year has enabled us to:
· Develop and implement public policy initiatives, including enlisting the services of Genn & Murphy to lobby on behalf of the business community
· Develop and begin implementation of our new strategic plan, Envisioning 2012
· Host Governor O’Malley and other elected officials at a special trustees-only luncheon at Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant
· Deliver the Chamber’s monthly newsletter to over 40,000 homes and businesses as an insert in The Frederick News-Post
· Partner with Frederick Community College to present the Chamber Academy, an affordable educational program geared toward small businesses
· Present over 70 other events, including our Annual Trustees Picnic and the ‘best ever’ Business EXPO
We welcome your investment and involvement as we work to position the Chamber to be a first rate steward for Frederick County businesses. Whatever level your participation, you can be assured that your investment will help you and the Chamber today and in the future.
