Business Outlook Series

Monthly morning events featuring professionals bringing insight to the market, economy, and business trends affecting Frederick County, the region, and the State.

Business Seminars

Educational seminars that expand professional knowledge and sharpen skills needed for business success. Topics cover marketing, sales, business planning, employment practices and policies, and much more.

Electricity Purchasing Cooperative

The Chamber has formed several groups to participate in a Energy Purchasing Cooperative. Increased purchasing power and a competitive bid process help members save money and enjoy long-term budget stability. Additional information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Deregulation legislation allows Maryland commercial customers to stay with their current energy supplier or purchase on a contract basis from another licensed supplier. Contract prices are based on a negotiated or competitive selection process controlled by the customer. Prices are set for a specified term. Choosing a supplier typically provides Chamber members price and budget stability for a contract period of 12 to 36 months.

Chamber Media

Members can partner with Chamber communications and events to effectively market their products and services to over 1,700 business professionals.

Business Advocacy

Chamber volunteers and staff review legislative proposals, submit testimony, meet with elected officials, establish legislative priorities of the business community, and conduct research to support and inform the Chamber’s work as business advocate.

Community Leadership

The Chamber’s Leadership Frederick County program provides an intensive introduction to community issues, establishes stimulating and lasting networks among peers, and supports professional development and growth interests. Nine month program begins in September.

Business Card Exchange

Members make hundreds of business contacts at this monthly after hours networking event, as well as the many other networking opportunities offered by the Chamber.

Special Events

A Regional Job Fair, Business EXPO, Golf Scramble, Annual Dinner, and other signature annual events afford unique opportunities for members to build their business, cultivate their relationships and awareness, and experience the power of association.
