UNLEASH YOUR POWER:
Stop Shrinking. Start Leading.
Speaker: Joyce King | Deputy State’s Attorney, Frederick County

A keynote focused on helping women recognize the ways they unintentionally minimize their voices, talents, and presence — and how to break those patterns with confidence and purpose. Through candid stories, practical strategies, and leadership insights, this presentation challenges attendees to own the rooms they have earned, communicate with authority, take strategic risks, and lead boldly in their careers, communities, and lives.

Joyce Roldan King is the Deputy State’s Attorney for Frederick County, where she leads the INTERCEPT Task Force targeting child exploitation and human trafficking and serves as a cross-designated Special Assistant U.S. Attorney with the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood, prosecuting high-profile internet crimes against children. She plays a key role in shaping Maryland policy as co-chair of the Maryland State’s Attorney’s Association Special Victims Committee and the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force Legislative Committee, advancing reforms to protect vulnerable populations. Ms. King also serves on the Board of the National District Attorneys Association and on the Law Enforcement Advisory Board for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, contributing to national strategy, training, and legislative efforts. She earned her J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law and is an alumna of George Washington University, American University’s Women & Politics Institute, and Emerge Maryland.
