RECAPPING S.H.E. WEEK 2024

The sixth year of S.H.E. Week was held August 5-9, 2024 and was instrumental in showing women in Frederick County to shine from within and own their extraordinary brilliance.

The week started with a Conference Day held at The Clarion Inn Frederick Events Center with 265 attendees. Alex Pursglove's keynote Cultivating Radical Trust: The Key to Liberating Your Self-Expression kicked off the morning. Followed by a panel titled Cultivating Balance in Relationships that included Shauna Mulcahy, Melissa Lentz, and Leslie Barnes-Keating and was moderated by Megan Donovan. Gretchen Pisano led participants through a workshop titled Cultivate Healthy Striving: The Art and Science of Doing Well and Being Well to close out the afternoon.

S.H.E. Pitch is a pitch competition for female entrepreneurs designed to give businesses both in the “idea stage” and “growth stage” cash prizes, publicity and networking opportunities. This year, we awarded over $12,000 in prize money. Additional prizes included advertising opportunities in Sass Magazine, a voucher to PrintatHood, and a headshot package from AK's Graphix & Photo.

The SHERO Awards were established to celebrate and shine a light on 
individuals who are making an impact by triumphing over adversity, demonstrating extraordinary care for others or leading change in our community.
