The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce has been one of the most well respected organizations in the community for over one hundred years. We represent and advocate on behalf of almost 1,000 companies and approximately 40,000 jobs throughout the region. We devote ourselves entirely to promoting our membership, fostering economic growth, and building a strong partnership among our members and the community as a whole.

I don't have much time. Is membership still worth it?

Yes! You can still benefit from membership.

Your membership gives you access to an established business network, advocacy efforts, promotional opportunities, resources, and savings programs whether or not you attend an event every week. And because membership extends to your organization, different employees can participate in the opportunities that are most valuable to them!

Is the Chamber part of the government?

No. The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce is an independently operated, 501C(6) nonprofit organization. We work closely with elected officials at the local, state and federal levels on issues affecting business, but we are not part of government.

Additionally, The Chamber does not endorse political candidates. Our role is to advocate for the interests of the Frederick County business community and connect members with policymakers regardless of party affiliation. Advocacy and government affairs priorities are driven by members and focus on improving economic development and quality of life in Frederick County. Members have opportunities to provide input and participate in the Chamber's public policy efforts.
