Workshop: EmPowered to Shine...Let Me Reintroduce Myself

Speaker: Tonya Chubb, M.A. & M.Ed, CEO, Founder & Lead Strategist, EmPowerment Consulting Services

This 45-minute interactive workshop is a fun-filled journey of self-empowerment. Everyone will reflect, respond, and interact with others as they evaluate the words that they use in their daily interactions. Being intentional regarding word choice, using writing prompts as a guide and personal experiences, each participant will create a unique personalized “poem” that demonstrates their commitment to using affirming words to introduce themselves to others. This piece will serve as a reminder that you are empowered to select the words that illuminate the path that you will travel.  

At the conclusion of the workshop, each attendee will:

1. Have a clearer understanding of the power and impact that words have on themselves and others.
2. Learn to be intentional and strategic when selecting words that they use when referring to yourself, past accomplishments, and future plans.
3. Understand the power that they have to accept or reject words.
4. Participate in an activity that demonstrates the power of positive affirming words.
5. Create a unique personalized  “EmPowerment Poem.”
