Reporting to the Chamber's Board of Directors, He collaborates with economic development partners, educational partners, elected officials and major employers to build the brand and reputation of Frederick County's diverse business community. Rick was twice-elected to represent Frederick/Washington County in the Maryland General Assembly, served as a County Commissioner and also has a background in municipal administration. Rick lives in Brunswick with his wife Amy.
Joan Aquilino Administrative Specialist firstname.lastname@example.org Joan is the Chamber’s administrative specialist and is the friendly face you first see when you come into our office for a visit! In addition to taking care of our members, Joan also assists with our Leadership Frederick County program and sits on the Public Policy Committee. Joan was the first female surveyor while working for Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission WSSC. She also served on the Frederick County Planning Commission for 10 years, been a small business owner with several restaurants and recently retired from State Government as the Exec. Assistant to Secretary Schulz in the DLLR (Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation).
Christy Butler Events Coordinator email@example.com Christy Butler is the Event Coordinator for the Chamber. She is responsible for all of the logistics that go into our varied events. Finding unique and interesting venues, securing sponsors, arranging details (and everything in between) is a challenge that she passionately tackles each day. An ardent animal lover, it is not unusual to find Christy fostering stray kittens or other animals in her spare time.
Wendy Errera Executive Assistant firstname.lastname@example.org Wendy is the Executive Assistant to the President and provides assistance to the Vice President and Finance Officer. She maintains Elizabeth's calendar and the Chamber's master calendar. She updates the membership database and file management. She is the staff liaison for the Frederick Nonprofit Alliance, the energy coop program, and is the Chamber's representative to the Commission on Aging's Business Task Force. Jennifer Gerlock Director of Marketing & Communications email@example.com Jennifer handles all of the marketing and communication duties at the Chamber. From website upkeep and committee support to event collateral and weekly email newsletters, she is the hub of communication at the Chamber. She is our "go to" person for members who have breaking news, events or happenings. Jen also sits on the Downtown Frederick Partnership board and volunteers with the American Advertising Federation of Greater Frederick. A self-proclaimed word nerd, her passions also include running marathons, blogging and waxing poetic about Professor Snape.
Michael Kurtianyk Member Relations Manager firstname.lastname@example.org Michael is responsible for supporting the Chamber's membership and helping businesses in Frederick County connect with the Chamber. As the Member Relations Manager, Michael works to build and maintain positive relationships with members and enhance member experiences and satisfaction. Michael is the staff liaison for the Entrepreneur Council, FCPS, higher education institutions and the Ambassador Program. In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading, fine wine, and finer tequila.
Kimberley Levine Finance Officer email@example.com Kimberley is the Finance Officer for the Chamber. She maintains the Chamber’s financial records and works behind the scenes handling payables, receivables, budgets and payroll and preparing financial statements. She also provides support for Chamber events, programs, and membership retention. Kimberley loves to travel and spend time with her husband, children and granddaughter and hopes to one day make a living snorkeling and paddle boarding in some tropical paradise.
Nan Sheridan-Mann Membership firstname.lastname@example.org Nan Mann is the Membership Coordinator at the Frederick Chamber of Commerce. Membership inquiries start with her. She meets with new and existing companies to discuss how a Chamber membership can provide a great return on investment by using the savings programs, promotional opportunities, networking and education events. Nan is also the staff liaison to the Business Health Committee. In her spare time she teaches spin, body pump and boot camp classes and is an avid runner. She has run 70 (yes, really!) marathons not to mention numerous half marathons.
