STEP ONE: OPTIMIZE YOUR BUSINESS

Picture
Review your online business information. You have been given an online listing that contains your basic contact information and a link to your website.

This is your opportunity to be sure your business has its best foot forward. Contact
info@frederickchamber.org with any changes you may have.

STEP TWO: STAY ON TOP OF COMMUNICATION

Peruse our weekly Chamber newsletter. Our weekly newsletter, which goes out every Tuesday morning, is filled with news, programs and member promotions. If you do not begin receiving your email newsletter within two weeks, please submit your information directly via this form or contact Jennifer Gerlock, Vice President of Marketing & Communications. Tip: We encourage you to have all relevant staff members sign up to receive updates as well. Staff members need to be manually added via website form.

Read our online news magazine. Chamber Insights is a news publication of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. We publish multiple articles each week and accept member submissions for thought leadership articles.

Connect with the Chamber and your fellow members on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Our social media channels keep you up to date on what’s going on at the Chamber and share news from our members. Tag us and share your business stories & accomplishments!

STEP THREE: ORIENT YOURSELF

Attend a New Member Orientation. This event is an introduction to the Chamber for new members, held each month. We do have a pre-recorded virtual option also available for your convenience!

Connect with your ambassador. Shortly after becoming a member you will be assigned an ambassador who will help you navigate your first few months of Chamber membership. They will reach out to you by email or phone. Be sure to take advantage of their knowledge!

Get familiar with our programs to see how you might get involved. Staff contacts are listed on each page. Feel free to reach out!
Review your advertising and sponsorship opportunities. These are constantly being updated as new programming is added throughout the year. Sponsorship opportunities and benefits are listed within each event if applicable.

STEP FOUR: PARTICIPATE

Sign up to attend Chamber events. You can browse, register and pay for Chamber events online. Members always receive priority pricing and/or admission. You have lots of in-person events to choose from including Business Card Exchanges (3rd Wednesday, monthly), Coffee & Contacts (1st Friday, every other month) and Lunch Exchanges (2nd Tuesday, every other month), among others!

Consider becoming a Partner In Trust. Our Partners In Trust program is comprised of a dedicated group of business leaders at the forefront of innovation and change in Frederick County. They are key employers, emerging leaders, elected officials and the Chamber members. Benefits vary according to partnership level.

STEP FIVE: PROMOTE YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Picture
Ensure your customers and prospective customers know you are a member. When consumers know that a small business is a member of their local Chamber of Commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from your organization in the future! Spread the word about your membership by displaying your Chamber plaque with the current year sticker; proudly telling customers and prospective customers you are a member and showcasing your membership on your website, email signature and advertising.

As a key partner in the community, you are welcome to use the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce logo on your web materials. Download the file options here.
Submit your news and events for an opportunity to be featured in the weekly email newsletter and online magazine. We love to celebrate what our members are accomplishing!
