Celebrating the people at the heart of Frederick County nonprofits!

From healthcare to education, housing to recovery, scouting to community associations – the Touching Lives Award recognizes and celebrates individuals from the nonprofit sector who are dedicated to improving lives in Frederick County.

Touching Lives offers a moment of public recognition for non-management staff members who have demonstrated outstanding involvement, care and commitment to improving the lives of others.​

NOMINATING FOR THE TOUCHING LIVES AWARD

 ​The Touching Lives Awards seek to recognize individuals who:
  • Exemplify their nonprofit’s organizational mission
  • Demonstrate one or more of the following traits: compassion, dedication, collaboration, innovation and/or leadership. 
  • Improve the lives of people they serve 
  • Are involved in the community
Submissions are judged based upon the the strength and merit of the submission received.​​

Touching Lives winners will be acknowledged through a number of outlets including the Touching Lives Awards page,  multiple social media platforms, via email newsletter to over 5,600 subscribers and through  announcements to various media outlets.

Winners will also be personally recognized with a special award at their office by members of the Nonprofit Alliance.
The Frederick Nonprofit Alliance provides tools, resources and advocacy to enable Frederick County nonprofit organizations to efficiently and effectively serve the needs and enrich the lives of residents throughout all of Frederick County. The FNA is a vehicle for nonprofits to work together as a unified force in the community, enlightening local business, government and political leaders about the economic value of nonprofits in Frederick County.
